Culinary in Lengkawi
Langkawi – Malaysia, this city consists of 99 islands located on the west coast of Malaysia. Langkawi itself is surrounded by clear blue water and hills and rice fields. Complete view there, making Langkawi as a tourist city that is always crowded with visitors. Langkawi is also known as one of the dive sites that provide beautiful underwater scenery.
My trip started from Jakarta – Langkawi using a Malindo flight with a departure ticket for Rp. 1,276,000 with estimated departures for 5 hours 5 minutes. And transited at Kuala Lumpur International Airport used to take 1 hour to get to Langkawi International Airport.
After arriving at Langkawi International Airport around 15:30, I immediately went to the motel where I was staying by using the airport shuttle services from several sites on the internet. For pickup cars, it turned out that it arrived on time. And, the fee was IDR 178,411. FYI, booking for this shuttle service had to be done at least 4 hours before the picking up schedule. So, you need to really prepare it. Then, the name of the motel is I & R Tasik Anak Motel. This motel is located on Pantai Cenang, close if from Langkawi Airport, the distance is 6 km. Near right? Estimated trip to less than half an hour.
I stayed at I & R Tasik Anak Motel which is located at 13-C Kg Tasik Anak Besar, Mukim Kedawang, 07000 Pantai Cenang, Malaysia. With the price of Rp 853,979 for 2 nights. Means, last night there it cost around Rp. 426,989. the price is still affordable, right? The facilities in this motel room are a TV, small fridge and wardrobe. Each air-conditioned room is also equipped with a terrace and a seating area, also equipped with. The en suite bathroom offers shower facilities. This hotel turned out to offer free parking and rooms with free WiFi access. But, if you want to rent a car or bicycle to explore the surrounding area yourself. Airport shuttle services can also be arranged at an additional charge. It is located only 900 m from Underwater World Langkawi.
Arriving at the motel, I got ready to see the sunset served from outside the room. Pantai Cenang is so amazing!
This beach is quite famous in Langkawi because of its long beach lips and white expanse of clean sand. We are not charged a penny to enter this beach area.
It fell incomplete if traveling to an area but do not feel the culinary delights. No exception in Langkawi, a culinary paradise. The typical food on the island of Langkawi is the same as in the regions of Malaysia in general: Fat Rice, Rice Kandar, Briyani Rice, Tamarind Laksa and Kerabu (a type of YamSaap in Bangkok). But the difference is the location of Langkawi’s topography in the form of a small island, so seafood is flourishing here. If you want to eat lobster, squid, shrimp, fish, this is heaven. Langkawi is also close to HatYai, Thailand, so there are many Thai restaurants. Apparently, eating places and places to hang out that there are many kinds of restaurants are in Pantai Cenang. In Cenang, there are many Thai restaurants, seafood restaurants, even French restaurants. The famous restaurants in Pantai Cenang namely, Haji Ramli Restaurant are located on the edge of the Pantai Cenang highway. This restaurant serves a variety of seafood and Thai food menus. The grilled fish is the champion. Tom Yum is also very fresh. The price is cheap. For those of you who don’t like spicy, you can try grilled fish using the sauce. It really isn’t spicy!
The address of this restaurant is at Pantai Cenang, Kedawang, Kedah, 07000 Pulau Langkawi, Malaysia. For a large portion, the price is roughly 74RM (IDR 265,000).
Then I tried other food, seadfood at Ria Seafood Orkid Restaurant located at Lot 1225, Pantai Cenang, Mukim Kedawang, 07100 Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia. For lobster per gram of 18RM (Rp. 65,000). Wow!
For those of you who like western food, you can try Yellow Cafe on Jalan Pantai Tengah, Pantai Cenang, 07000 Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia. For a variety of foods. And I decided to try the steak. It was delicious! For the price of food, around IDR 44,000 – Rp 309,000.
And, I found a cafe that serves a typical French Pattiserrie at La Chocolatin. The hot chocolate was amazingly delicious. The tuna sandwich was also fresh and large, plus using a French baguette which was rather hard, but tasty. Located at No. 3 Jalan Teluk Baru, Pantai Tengah, Langkawi 07000, Malaysia with meals whose prices range from IDR 44,000 – IDR 147,000. Affordable!
After enjoying culinary in Pantai Cenang, it’s time for me to return to Indonesia. By using the shuttle service again as when I arrived at Langkawi Airport. The returned ticket that I used was from the Melindo Batik Air airline for IDR 1,906,300 the return journey would take 7 hours 20 minutes. The transit was quite long, which was 4 hours 5 minutes at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The thing that made me happy about the flights that I used when going home and going to Langkawi was, both of these airlines provided meals for passengers. See yaa Traveler!
